FOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
Food and drinks are now in the game for players. It's not just for pets anymore.
Food and liquids are now a necessary thing for all members to have.
Each species can buy the two types of drinks, and the 4 types of foods for their species in the species stores.
These items can not be crafted, and instead can only be bought from the main species stores, this will help put money back into the game bank.
Each player now has two new stats shown in thier posts on the left, in their profile page, and in the stats window of the front interface.
Thirst and
hunger.
Over time, the water levels and food levels shown in the percentage bars will drop. The amount it drops is based on close to real levels. On average, a human can last about 8 days without water, about a month without food before dieing.
Alien and predator levels are based off that but tweaked to reflect their species more. Aliens can go for MUCH longer periods of time without having to eat or drink before it starts to affect them badly.
Predators must eat more often. However the negative affects are not as bad as other species. Marines have a balance of both the good and bad effects.
The more drink you need, and the more food you require, the worse off you will preform. You will do less damage, and will be much slower than normal. Clan attacks are also affected.
Be sure to stay full and hydrated for optimal performance!
Here is the breakdown of items:
Aliens:
- A simple muddy puddle, aliens can scavenge water out of this. Cheap but also very low water content.

- Host Blood. You rip open the jugular of one of your live hosts in the hive and drink the sweet sweet blood from within. Very nutritious but they arn't that plentiful.

- A small insect. Low in food value, but cheap. Gobble them up.

- A small rodent, better nutrition than an insect.

- A baby mammal. A good source of flesh, but weighs a good amount.

- You hunt down a fresh human and feast upon their body. Heavy to carry around, but great nourishment.
Marines:
- Water. Your basic water bottle. good water source, but expensive.

- Beer. What every good marine enjoys. Has low water value in it, but restores a small amount of adrenaline when drunk as well!

- The marine HQ may provide shelter, but their vending machines only carry the same protein snack candy bar....low food value, but it's candy..

- Your basic standard issue USCM rations kit. Provides a decent amount of food.

- Two slices of hearty bread with some synthetic meat in the middle, good protein and tasty!

- One whole roasted synthetic chicken with a serving of vegetables on the site! Mmmmmmmmm
Predator:
- A special predator mix that when inhaled, forms moisture within the predator body. The equivalent of being covered in morning dew.

- Liqua Gel. This substance will provide a good amount of liquid but is in a jelly like form so it will last as well.

- Resource stimulant. This is nothing more than a handful of raw resource material squeezed together. This provides a low amount of nutrition, but is better than nothing.

- Re-Hydrated stimulants. This gives the predator some real good meal type of object. Hydrated food stimulants that provide a good amount of food, and a very little amount of liquid!

- A nice big meal of food stimulant substances. Much more food value than the re-hydrated stuff.

- A care package full of high density food stuffs from your home planet. Usually given to Hunting predators while on extended hunting expeditions.
